Maria Campos

Maria Campos, LMFT serves as the clinical director for South Coast Behavioral Health’s inpatient and outpatient facilities in California. As the clinical director, Maria serves as a mentor and developer for our clinical staff. She plays a vital role in creating protocols and policies that enhance the quality of care and support provided.

Maria holds a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. With a career spanning since 2014, she has gained expertise in various specialties, including Seeking Safety, Crisis-Oriented Recovery Services (CORS), motivational interviewing, interpersonal therapy, and LGBTQIA addiction treatment. Throughout her professional journey, Maria has held multiple positions such as Clinical Supervisor, Clinical Director, Lead Therapist, Executive Clinical Liaison, Therapist Mentor, BHT Supervisor, and Referral Coordinator.

Maria’s passion for this work stems from her own experience as an at-risk youth with a history of trauma. Through therapy, she was able to transform her life and discover the power of choice. It is truly rewarding for her to help others recognize that they too possess the power to redirect their lives. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Maria enjoys expressing her creativity through drawing, painting, and indulging in audible books during her leisure time.
