Detox
South Coast provides 24/7 comprehensive detox services to ensure the process is safe and as comfortable as possible. Our detox team is a compassionate group of highly trained medical professionals, including registered, licensed nurses who will conduct a complete physical exam and medical history. Throughout detox, we help ease painful withdrawal symptoms with research-backed medications and monitor clients around the clock, attending to any discomfort or emergencies.
Inpatient Treatment
South Coast offers residential treatment in a private, serene setting where clients recover alongside peers who understand what each other is going through. We tailor treatment plans to each client’s individual needs and preferences.

At the helm of South Coast Behavioral Health, Kylee Briney, MBA has served as Executive Director since 2020. Kylee has been working in mental health and substance abuse treatment for over six years. She earned a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in human resource management from Capella University. Kylee’s extensive background in management and human resources along with previous roles at addiction treatment centers serve her well in her position at SCBH, where she makes sure all aspects of administration, operations, and programming run smoothly, so clients receive the best care possible.
Kylee’s known for her head-on approach to management. She has an exceptional ability to problem-solve with staff and encourage them to be their best. Kylee believes the way her team works together to draw on each individual’s unique strengths is what makes SCBH so amazing. She strives to foster a supportive environment for team members and clients, so they have an accepting, safe space to work and recover.
Kylee’s passion for her work stems from her own recovery journey and the life-changing experience of being in addiction treatment herself. When she isn’t working, she loves spending time with her husband and children or helping people reach their fitness goals as a personal trainer.

Kelly McIntyre, MS, LMFT
Director of Outpatient Services
Kelly joined South Coast in 2019 and is the Director of Outpatient Services. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist and EMDR trained by the EMDR Institute. In her current role, Kelly is the direct supervisor of South Coast’s therapists and oversees the day-to-day clinical and program needs for our outpatient program. She has also held roles at South Coast such as clinical therapist, lead therapist, and inpatient clinical manager. Prior to joining South Coast, Kelly was a behavior interventionist for LA and Orange County school districts, working with those on the spectrum and with emotional disturbance. She has also provided ABA in-home services. Kelly continues to work in private practice.
Kelly was drawn to this work because of her passion to help people on their journey to mental wellness. She believes nothing is more rewarding and sacred than watching clients grow, believe in themselves, and take pride in their accomplishments – often for the first time. In her free time, Kelly likes game night with friends, being in the water, watching movies, spending time up the coast, and petting “all the dogs.”

Maria Campos, LMFT
Clinical Director
In her role as clinical director, Maria mentors and develops South Coast’s treatment team and helps develop protocols and policies that enhance quality care and support. Maria holds a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. She has been working in the behavioral health field since 2014 and is trained in several specialties, including Seeking Safety, Crisis-Oriented Recovery Services (CORS), motivational interviewing, interpersonal therapy, and LGBTQIA addiction treatment. She has served in various roles during her careers, such as Clinical Supervisor, Clinical Director, Lead Therapist, Executive Clinical Liaison, Therapist Mentor, BHT Supervisor, and Referral Coordinator.
Maria got into this work as a way of paying it forward. As an at-risk youth with a trauma history, she was allowed to improve her life through therapy and discovered the power of choice. She finds it rewarding to help others see that they too have the power of choice in re-directing their lives. Maria is bilingual, and in her free time, she enjoys drawing, painting, and listening to audible books.
