Jacoby Sims

Jacoby Sims serves as the Director of Operations at Footprints to Recovery’s addiction treatment center in Elgin, Illinois. Since joining the organization in November 2020 as a behavioral health technician, he has steadily advanced through roles such as Supervisor and Milieu Manager, and now director of operations for our inpatient and outpatient treatment programs.

In his current role, Jacoby oversees the facility’s daily operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to clients. A natural multitasker, he excels at collaborating and communicating with various teams across the center, a strength that underpins his effectiveness in this position.

Jacoby began his career in behavioral health in 2018, working at a therapeutic day school for children with disabilities and behavioral challenges. There, he developed learning strategies tailored to the needs of students with mental and physical disabilities while leading activities designed to nurture their physical, emotional, and social development.

His entry into the behavioral health field was a transformative experience, offering him a deeper understanding of the struggles people face when masking pain and trauma. This insight fuels his passion for supporting his community, helping individuals find hope, and guiding them toward brighter futures.

For Jacoby, his work at Footprints to Recovery is profoundly rewarding. Knowing that he and his team are making a lasting impact and saving lives every day is what drives him.

Outside of work, Jacoby enjoys exploring real estate opportunities, watching movies, following sports, and spending quality time with his family.
